YES! If this is your first time ordering with us, you will need at least one of our case shells in order to achieve full functionality of our interchangeable case system. If you only get the backs, they offer no protective value to your phone and will easily slip off. When paired together (shell and back), the backs stay firmly in place and allow you to use magsafe accessories.
